Auza Contracting has been a proud sponsor of multiple youth sports teams for many years. We firmly believe in the importance of sports in shaping the lives of young individuals. Our support for these teams is rooted in our commitment to providing children with the chance to develop crucial life skills that are unique to the world of sports. Through our sponsorship, we aim to empower kids to learn and grow in a positive and nurturing environment, helping them to build character, teamwork, and resilience.
David and Jill Auza created the Addison Auza Scholarship Fund in memory of their daughter, Addison, who passed away far too soon on December 3, 2018, at the age of 11. Addie was the most compassionate, fun-loving little girl; she always had a smile on her face, and she brought joy to all those around her. Addie loved animals and particularly enjoyed showing her lambs during her two years as a 4-H showman. After Addie passed, her family wanted to keep her spirit alive by creating a scholarship in her name for graduating seniors, who participated in the Maricopa County Fair as Addie had. Addie loved helping others, and through this fund, she continues to assist others to further their education. Auza Contracting Inc. has supported the Addison Auza Scholarship fund since the beginning and runs the Sheepherder’s Golf Tournament to raise money for the fund. Auza Contracting Inc. has been involved in the Maricopa County Fair since 2003, starting with simply purchasing animals. Over the years we have become more and more involved, leading to us sponsoring many aspects of the auction. The most recent project we have helped the Maricopa County Fair with is our renovations of the goat/lamb barn wash rack and concrete. In the past, the exhibitors tied their goats and lambs to a temporary rail and were stacked on top of each other with only 5 hoses to use. The project to create a better system has allowed for more space and at the 2024 Maricopa County fair it led to exhibitors not having to start so early just to get in line for the wash rack.
Auza Contracting is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children. Our donations to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital aim to provide every child with the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. In 2019, Auza Contracting supported two young girls who donated $15,000 to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital in memory of their friend, Addison Auza, who had passed away. The girls won Grand and Reserve at the County Fair and generously gave all the money from their auction sales to help improve the family waiting area for the pediatric ICU at the hospital.
